Da Nang city is located in Central Vietnam. Transport by road, rail, air, waterways are favorable for Da Nang city. It borders Thua Thien Hue Province to the north, Quang Nam Province to the south and west, and the ocean to the east.
Danang’stopography is diversified: Hai Van Pass to the north, high Mountain located in Hoa Vang District with Mang Mount 1.708m high, Ba Na Mount 1.487m high, Son Tra Peninsula and some beautiful beaches stretching from Son Tra Peninsula to Non Nuoc Beach to the East, the Marble Mountains to the south, and offshore Truong Sa Island with large fishing zone.
Da Nang city has a tropical monsoon climate with two seasons: a typhoon & wet season and a dry season. Temperatures are typically high, with an annual average of 28C-29C. The wet season usually has the storms in September and October every year.
Da Nang city was established in 1888, was one of the major port cities in Vietnam in the past, and is the commercial and educational center and the largest city of Central Vietnam. Da Nang city has road, rail system, International Airport, big port (Tien Sa Port), 9 bridges over Han River; is the center connected not only other provinces of Central Vietnam and Highland of Vietnam, but also Laos, Thailand and Myanmar… on Trans-Asia road. Da Nang has modern system of communications, is a convergence of many local and central companies, large-scale factories with many important economic sectors.
